Day One of The Week of Giving was a success. Four kids came away victorious with their guessing jars and many dressed up in pajamas. We have raised over $500 for Sox For Kids. 4th grade is in the lead in both weight and dollar amount for the Change Wars. If you haven’t paid for the weeks activities you can still do that. (See the flyer for more info) Tomorrow we continue our week with Crazy Hair or Hat Day, schoolwide Bingo, and of course Change Wars!

A teacher hears stories about how students lose their homework. This morning Gracie was walking to the bus when a large gust of wind ripped her Geometry project out of her hand and sent it tumbling down the street. The bus driver confirmed her story and we thought her project was lost forever. However, her mom drove around until she spotted it wrapped around a tree and delivered it to school. Never was there a happier Geometry student!

In early November, the Junior High Academic Team competed in Grafton. For the second year in a row, they lost on a tiebreaker question to make it into the lightning round, placing 4th out of 14 teams. They were especially successful in the math and science categories.

The senior and junior varsity academic teams competed in a competition held in Cavalier. There were a number of questions that stumped all teams at the event and correct spelling also was a factor. These teams did a good job representing Midway.
