On Friday, our 3rd–5th graders enjoyed a fun and engaging Book Tasting event! 📚✨
In Mrs. Thompson’s room, students sampled some of the classics—exploring timeless stories that have been loved for generations. From page to page, they discovered new favorites while enjoying the special “tasting” atmosphere.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate reading and introduce students to books that truly stand the test of time! ❤️📖
On Friday, our 3rd–5th graders had a Book Tasting. In Mrs. Erickson’s room, students sampled a wide variety of sports books—from motocross to football and everything in between. They rotated through tables, explored new titles, and discovered stories and topics that sparked their interest.
Add in a few tasty snacks, and it made for the perfect Friday activity! Great books + good company = a winning combination. 🏆

In Mrs. Jelinek’s room, students explored a variety of reference materials. A big hit of the day? The old-school Childcraft Encyclopedias! The students loved flipping through the pages and discovering just how much information you can find in a classic set of books.

Each grade proudly carried the torch and shared which Olympic sport they’ll be following along the way. We’re ready to read for gold medals and cheer each other on all month long! 🥇❄️

We’ve officially celebrated 100 days of learning, growing, and having fun! That means 100 lunches, 100 bus rides, and 100 days of smiles, hard work, and great memories. We’re so proud of our students and staff for making every day count! 💙

Once a month, students and adults will spend a half hour together simply making a connection. Students chose the adults they want to spend time with, and a variety of fun and meaningful activities may take place.
The goal is simple: build relationships, strengthen trust, and enjoy time together. These moments matter, and we’re proud to make connection a priority at our school!

In ESP, our 3rd–6th graders have been busy learning how to finger knit blankets with help from our local knitting specialist, Linda 🧶
The students did a great job and had a lot of fun creating together. We’ll continue again on Wednesday!

Our Jazz students had an awesome time participating in the Myra Jazz Festival this week!
Congrats to Karson Wolf! He placed first at the Behind the Mask welding competition and received a $1,000 dollar scholarship! This is his second year in a row placing first at a welding competition.
