Glow Day fun!
Mrs. Erickson's 4th graders had a blast celebrating Glow Day! The room was glowing, the activities were exciting, and the smiles were nonstop. What a great way to wrap up the year with some bright memories!

What a day!
Mrs. Berry's preschoolers and Mrs. Osowski's kindergarteners had such a fun time visiting Helen’s Greenhouse, Koda Bank, Kids Alley, and the park. The sunshine and smiles made it extra special! We wrapped it all up with a delicious lunch at Beavers Café in Minto—so good! Thanks to everyone who made the day memorable!

More pictures from Mrs. Berry's preschoolers. They had an amazing time learning all about community helpers over the past few weeks!
One of the highlights was our fantastic Career Day—we got to meet two awesome Grand Forks police officers and their K-9 partner, Bear!
To top it all off, we received two special video shoutouts: one from Minnesota Vikings player Harrison Phillips and another from a UPS cargo pilot who shared what it’s like to fly packages around the world!
A big thank you to everyone who helped make this experience so memorable for our students!

Our 6th graders put their engineering skills to the test with a bridge building challenge! Each team designed and built a bridge that had to hold 50 grams of weight—and the creativity was off the charts! Way to go, future engineers!

Shoutout to our amazing lunch team—Kassia, Amanda, and Amy! From planning and prepping to ordering and cooking, they do it all with a smile. These ladies keep us well fed and cared for every single day. Their kindness, hard work, and delicious meals truly get us through the day. Thank you for everything you do—we’re so lucky to have you!

Happy Principal Appreciation Day!
I’m Mrs. Dale, and while I’m usually the one behind these posts, it feels a little strange writing one about myself! I would like to honor our current leadership team.
How lucky am I to work alongside such an incredible principal and superintendent? Mr. Salyer and Mr. Irvine are true blessings to Midway. Leadership roles aren’t easy—but they’re so rewarding. Every day brings the chance to connect with staff, students, and families, and that reminds us why we do what we do.
Being a principal or superintendent often means facing challenges and making tough calls. Compliments can be rare, but we keep going because we believe in doing what’s best for kids. And even when decisions aren’t always popular, the heart of this job is always centered around students.
I’ve been truly fortunate to work with some of the best administrators at Midway. I have learned from their example and strive to lead with the same grace and integrity. I’m especially thankful for the mentorship of Nancy Brueckner, George Lee, Roger Abbe, Mary Sorvig (Jelinek), and Karen O’Neil—to name just a few. Your impact continues to guide me. 💙 Thank you to our Midway community for allowing me to be the leader I am today! I truly love Midway!
